CLIFTON PARK — Our rundown with the latest news concerning Shenendehowa athletics.
ONE: After a 3-4 regular season, the Shenendehowa football team will begin its postseason journey tonight in East Greenbush against Columbia.
The Plainsmen are the No. 3 seed from the Empire Division, while Columbia is the No. 2 team out of the Liberty Division.
The winner of the 7 p.m. contest likely takes on No. 1 Saratoga Springs in the semifinals.
TWO: With two goals from Kyle Pfaff, the Shenendehowa boys’ soccer squad eliminated Albany Thursday night from the Section II Class AA tournament.
The No. 5 Plainsmen topped No. 12 Albany 4-1, and advanced to Monday’s quarterfinals where they are likely to meet No. 4 Saratoga Springs.

THREE: The top-ranked Shenendehowa girls’ soccer team finds out its opponent for its Tuesday quarterfinal today, as Ballston Spa and Columbia meet.
The Plainsmen finished 12-0-2 in the Suburban Council this season.
FOUR: In a non-league matchup, the Shenendehowa girls’ swimming and diving team topped Emma Willard with a 98-77 verdict, with the Plainsmen using plenty of exhibition swimmers.
Scoring solo wins for Shenendehowa were Jess Gordon (200 individual medley), Norah Caher (diving), and Sarah Wettergreen (100 backstroke)

FIVE: Both the Shenendehowa boys’ volleyball and Shenendehowa girls’ volleyball teams find out their postseason roads early next week.
The boys’ seeding meeting takes place Monday, while the girls’ one is Tuesday.
The Plainsmen boys are the likely No. 2 entry in the Section II Division I draw, while the Plainsmen girls are set to be the No. 1 team in the Section II Class AA bracket.
The Shenendehowa girls are coming off an epic five-set match against Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake. The Plainsmen lost that match, but were the first team to take the Spartans to five sets since the start of the 2000s.
